RFN Nexus is a field‑technician companion app for the RFN‑Nexus IoT monitoring platform. It is provisioned to you by your employer or distributor and used to install, inspect and monitor sensor equipment — silobags, gateways and environmental sensors — on your organisation's sites. This policy explains what the Android and iOS app collects, why, and how it's protected.
01Scope
This policy covers the RFN Nexus mobile app only. It does not cover the RFN‑Nexus web console, gateway firmware, or other RF‑Networks products, which are covered by their own notices. RFN Nexus is distributed exclusively to organisations that operate on the RFN‑Nexus platform — there is no public sign‑up, and the app cannot be used without an account issued by your organisation's administrator.
02Data we collect
We collect only what the app needs to authenticate you, show your organisation's equipment, and record installation work. Nothing below is used for advertising — RFN Nexus carries no ads and no advertising or analytics SDK.

03How we use it
- To sign you in and keep you signed in, scoped to your organisation and role.
- To show live equipment health on your dashboard and let you install, edit and search equipment.
- To geotag equipment at the moment you install a sensor.
- To queue your work offline and sync it automatically once you're back online.
- To deliver push alerts when a sensor reports a warning or critical status.
We do not use your data to build an advertising profile, and we do not sell it.
05Storage & security
- All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS); the app refuses plain‑text connections.
- Sign‑in tokens are stored using your device's secure, encrypted keystore (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain) — never in plain preferences.
- Offline equipment data lives in a local, per‑account database on your device and is cleared automatically when you sign out.
06Retention & deletion
Your account and its data are retained for as long as your organisation keeps you as an active user of the RFN‑Nexus platform.
07Your rights
Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below, or your organisation's administrator — we'll respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law.
08Children's privacy
RFN Nexus is a business tool for technicians and administrators, distributed only to organisation‑issued accounts. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age required by local law to hold a work account.
09Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify administrators of your organisation. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
